Why commission a portrait of your pet?
We commission paintings to celebrate those we love, to say: you mattered, you were here, you were cherished. We hang portraits of children on our walls. Our pets deserve no less. They greet us without judgement, love us without condition, and ask for nothing in return but our presence. They are woven into the fabric of our daily lives - curled at our feet, pressed against our side, waiting at the door. They are family. Not like family. Family. A portrait does not simply decorate a wall. It also declares, that this life was loved. That this bond is real. Whether your beloved pet is by your side today, or lives now only in your heart, a commissioned portrait preserves that enduring love in a work of art that forever keeps the warmth of their presence in your home.
"I cried when I unwrapped it. You captured his spirit perfectly." - Keri from Austin, TX
"We commissioned this as a memorial after the sudden loss of our standard poodle of 11 years. It hangs in our family room and everyday brings us comfort and joy." -Rachel from St. Paul, MN
I was gifted a portrait of my best friend for Father's Day and I hung it on my wall along side photos of my grandchildren. It makes me smile every time I see it. -Harry from Atlanta, GA

Book a Portrait
How it works in 5 Simple Steps...
Step One: Reserve Your Spot
When you are ready to book, just click on the "Book Now" button, fill out the form, and secure your spot with a $100 non-refundable deposit.
On the booking form, you will upload your reference photo and select a "color palette" for your background. I will use your reference photo and background color selection in the next step, the mock-up.

Q: What does "select a color palette" mean?
Step Two: The Mock-Up
Once I have received your booking form, I will email you within 2-3 days with a basic basic mock-up of your cropped photo with three background variations (light, middle, and dark) within the color palette you selected at booking. I will also send two additional background color suggestions, based on my artistic judgement, for your consideration. The purpose of the mock-up is to provide a digital presentation to help you visualize the overall composition of your cropped photo with the background color so that you can easily choose which will best complement your space.

Step Three: Full Payment
When you have selected your favorite mock-up, the remaining balance is due. Invoices can be paid online via credit/debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or with a Good Eye Fine Art gift card.
Step Four: It's pastel painting time!
After payment is received, you will be added to my painting queue. I use only professional quality soft pastels and archival paper to create your meaningful and unique artwork.
Q: What is your turnaround time?
